Carnival 2022

This year’s Carnival programme features various initatives around Valletta, Hamrun and Marsa which celebrate the spirit of Carnival while respecting the current COVID-19 measures.

The programme includes competitve artistic installations around Valletta, Ħamrun and Marsa, as well as initiatives in collaboration by Spazju Kreattiv, which include an exhibition of Carnevalesque photography by Frank Kirchner, curated by Antoine Farrugia, an exibition of past carnival costumes and a theatrical production of the traditional poetic farse il-Qarċilla.
