EXPRESSIONS Rachel Galea

This is the last exhibition in Il-Ħaġar’s cultural calendar of 2022, and as the artist states “Color, nature, and places I visited have been my source of inspiration. In this exhibition, Expressions, I have used mainly the impasto technique, which contributes very well towards expressive paintings. The use of thick oil paint, vividness of colors and the freedom of brush or palette knife strokes help me achieve texture and movement whilst developing each piece intuitively. As an artist, my intent is to evoke an emotional reaction from the viewers that leaves them energized, inspired and tranquil.”
